Financial professionals who got tired of bad explanations.
Years inside investment banks, asset managers and fast-growing companies, and as many years watching friends and family lose money to tips, jargon and overconfidence. Elevator Capital is our answer to that.
Sumit Rampuria
Sumit has spent fourteen years around money and markets. He started in quantitative applications for investment banking and asset management, first at FICO, working on-site with retail banks across Europe and Latin America, then at Goldman Sachs in Bengaluru and BlackRock in Mumbai. He then moved to the operating side: at OYO he was Director and Business Head for the Philippines, having earlier run finance and revenue for that business, and at PhysicsWallah he led business finance, FP&A and treasury through the company's growth.
He holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, and has passed all three levels of the CFA Program. He invests in Indian equities and trades index derivatives with his own capital, and runs the courses and the weekly letter.
Why "Elevator"
Because understanding the market is not a leap, it is a ride up, one floor at a time, and you should be able to get off at any floor and know exactly where you are. Also because a good explanation should fit in an elevator.
